Public Perception

The public perception barometer serves as a tool to monitor public perception of COVID-19 in the 47 member states of the WHO African Region. Data is gathered around three axes: vaccine, case management and non-pharmaceutical measures by tracking conversations and publications from a variety of sources. Countries are then categorized as Green “positive perception”; Amber “neutral perception” or Red “negative perception”. The tool thus serves as a starting point for a deeper investigation on countries’ context, for targeted decision making.
